Bill Maher drops an F-bomb on air just two weeks after his CNN debut

Bill Maher dropped his first F-bomb on CNN just two weeks after his show joined the network.
Maher, who has spent the last two decades swearing liberally on his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher, recently joined CNN with the Overtime segment, which picks up where Real Time’s filming left off.
In the segment, Maher spoke with guest Kristen Soltis Anderson about Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the idea of ”nepo babies” — short for nepotism babies — and whether successful people whose parents were also successful have it easier than the others.
The term has been making waves in Hollywood in recent weeks, with many of the famous woman’s children arguing that they don’t have it any easier and that their connections only helped them get through the door.
Maher took offense at that attitude, saying acting isn’t “f***ing hard,” before laughing and apologizing to CNN.

During Friday night’s Overtime broadcast, Maher spoke about Huckabee Sanders and whether she was a Nepo baby.
Huckabee Sanders is following in her father Mike Huckabee’s footsteps as Governor of Arkansas. Last week, she gave the official GOP rebuttal to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address.
“Will the fact that … Sarah Huckabee Sanders is a Nepo baby detract from her political performance?” he’s asked. “I think you heard me talking about the Huckabee Dynasty.”
“But yeah, that’s a big saying these days, Nepo baby. Do you know what that is? It’s like – you mostly refer to people in show business as nepo. Anyone whose mom or dad was a star and then you’re a star, that makes you a Nepo baby. I could name many of them. They are very upset that they are called that.’
“I’ve noticed this phenomenon, as have many people out here. It’s okay if your parents were in show business. Just don’t say, as I’ve heard some of you say, “Well, it wasn’t easier for me.” Yeah it was,” he said, “it was easier, or what they often say is, well, it just got me in the door. Well, that’s a lot of that in show business — come through the door.
“Anyone can act. It’s not that damn hard. Oh sorry.’
“Sorry, CNN. I know. I forgot. You shouldn’t – Not on HBO.’
Overtime airs at 11:30 p.m. on CNN, just as Real Time ends on HBO. During the show’s debut last week, Maher came through without profanity. But that one series of episodes was canceled last Friday.

A host of celebrities have plunged into the row over nepotism babies in recent weeks.
The topic recently became trending on social media after New York magazine published the Year of the Nepo Baby cover, which was released in December.
Lily-Rose Depp, Maude Apatow, Maya Hawke, Dakota Johnson, Ben Platt and Zoe Kravitz were among the famous faces that made the cover.
Since then, a slew of A-listers have waded into the line, and Lily Allen has launched a wild tirade in defense of nepotism babies in the entertainment industry.
Kate Moss’ sister Lottie then provoked social media followers after supporting Lily in the ongoing debate, saying she’s tired of people blaming nepotism for why they’re not rich and famous or successful .
Hailey Bieber, the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, did not shy away from controversy as she proudly wore a “Nepo Baby” t-shirt that actress Gwyneth Paltrow gave her seal of approval.
But with a slew of stars speaking out amid the heated debate, MailOnline takes a look at the stars you didn’t know were nepotism babies, from Benedict Cumberbatch to Zoey Deutch and Maya Rudolph.

Newly released data has revealed the upcoming Nepo babies whose star is on the rise, based on last year’s Google searches and their YouGov fame score
Huckabee Sanders called President Biden too old and too comfortable with the “woke” and “crazy” segments of the Democratic Party in Tuesday night’s Republican rebuttal to the State of the Union address.
“At 40, I’m the youngest governor in the country. At 80, he is the oldest president in American history,” the former White House press secretary said. “I am the first woman to lead my state. He’s the first man to cede his presidency to a savvy mob who can’t even tell you what a woman is.’
Sanders — addressing the country from Little Rock — drew heavily on culture war themes, including that Biden is part of the “radical left” that teaches kids to “hate one another because of their race.”
“Whether Joe Biden believes in this madness or is simply too weak to fight back, his administration has been completely hijacked by the far left,” she claimed. “The dividing line in America is no longer between right and left. The choice is normal or crazy.”
Sanders, who was sworn in last month, highlighted her own culture war fight since taking office — banning the use of the term “LatinX,” which does not indicate gender, and signing an executive order banning the teaching of “critical race theory,” which conservatives oppose because it demonizes all white people.”
