The Medium is coming to TV as a new psychological horror series.
A statement from developer Bloober Team has confirmed that its 2021 horror game The Medium will be adapted for television in collaboration with Platige Image.
“Both the film industry and the video game industry are close to my heart,” said Bloober Team President Piotr Babieno. “I’m really excited that there’s finally an opportunity to bring the two of them together… The story we told in-game was appreciated by players, and now more people will be able to experience it.”
Oscar-nominated Polish director Tomasz Bagiński will serve as the creative supervisor for this project. “Bridging the worlds of movies and games is a huge but fascinating challenge,” said Bagiński. “I’m glad to have the pleasure of working with such a fantastically talented team on a project like The Medium.”
According to Babieno, Bagiński’s involvement underscores how seriously the team takes the adjustment. “The entire team that worked on the concept of the series felt like they were working on something special,” he said. “We hope that excitement will show through in the quality of the series.”
The Medium will be a co-production between Bloober Team and Platige Image, with both companies sharing costs should the series make it into production.

The Medium’s IGN review gave it an 8/10, saying, “An engrossing and heart-pounding journey from the screeching of the first jump scare to the very last breath. The Medium delivers a psychological horror adventure that’s all thriller, not filler.”
