Brandi Glanville gives update on relationship with Kim Richards

Brandi Glanville gave an update on her relationship with Kim Richards. The former ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star got off to a rocky start when they first met, but they eventually became close friends — until their falling out more than two years ago.

In an interview on the podcast “Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef”. Glanville, published on Monday February 20, 2023, denied Richard’s previous claim that they had fallen out over a photo she posted of the 58-year-old actress following her surgery. Glanville also hinted that she’s still not on speaking terms with her former friend.

August 2021 Glanville told Bravo’s “chat room” that she was in the dark as to why Richards had stopped talking to her. “Kim and I aren’t speaking right now and I have no idea why,” Glanville said at the time, adding that the two sometimes “take a break” from their friendship.

On Yontef’s 2023 podcast, Glanville ended the story that she had posted a personal picture of her former friend online, and she even asked, “Now where’s the picture?”

“I wouldn’t do that to anyone, especially a friend,” Glanville said. “Show me the picture. Someone, if I post anything at all, take a screenshot of it. There’s just no picture.”

Glanville said she believes the estrangement stemmed from COVID as she refused to pick Richards up after her hospitalization if she had been exposed to the virus.

“I ended up driving her to the hospital during COVID when I didn’t want to see anyone,” Glanville explained. “And then we got into an argument because I didn’t want to pick her up because she was in the hospital and I thought it was the start of COVID and like the ER I can’t pick you up because I have kids. And then there was a fight.”

“Kim and I fight, we do. We’ve had some stupid arguments about the stupidest things,” she added. “So I guess COVID we just kind of lost touch a little bit like I’ve done with a lot of other friends. “

Glanville added that despite their extended friendship break, she will always love Richards.

“I will always love Kim,” she said. “I know pretty much everything about this lady and she knows everything about me and we could ruin each other’s lives if we wanted to but we never would and she will be my family forever and my kids love her.”

Richards opened up about her feud with Glanville in a July 2022 interview with E! News. She revealed at the time that she was upset with Glanville for posting a photo of her online without her consent after being biopsied for a questionable mammogram.

“There were some pictures she posted of me after my surgery — it was a difficult surgery for me,” Richards told the outlet. She added that she asked Glanville to look at her stitches because she was concerned she “had popped a stitch” and that a picture was taken during the incident.

“I was scared and Brandi is looking down and checking,” Richards said. “And this picture was posted. I’m sure it was a coincidence, but… I was a little upset. I felt like I could just take that down. Then later she called and I said, ‘I asked you to take that down,’ and she said, ‘It’s nothing, it was a picture.'”

Glanville posted on July 21, 2022 to twitter to deny the story. “I love you [Kim Richards] But your memory’s gone,” the Unfiltered podcast host wrote. “Please show me the picture you’re talking about because that never happened. In fact, you did my podcast long after that moment, and when we entered COVID I even drove you to the ER. #Revenue.”
