Bravo alum opens up about Lisa Rinna’s exit

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills personality Lisa Rinna announced that she will no longer be a cast member on the Bravo series in January 2023. per People magazine. The “Melrose Place” actress released a statement to the publication, saying she was “grateful” to have starred on the show for the past eight years. Rinna’s former RHOBH co-star Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave opened up about the 59-year-old’s bravo exit during an episode of her podcast Two Ts In A Pod in January 2023.

While recording the podcast episode, Arroyave stated she was saddened by the revelation of her former castmate. The 43-year-old explained that she believes Rinna has “brought us great television for many years”. She also noted that she feels the remaining RHOBH cast should be nervous without Rinna on the series. Arroyave claimed that the “Days of Our Lives” actress is “a loose gun” and has no problem moving the story along.

“Some of the other girls on this show have to be shaking in their boots because the fact of having to do this dirty work and stir them up when everyone else is trying to be like everyone’s sweetheart isn’t a fun job,” said the former RHOBH personality.

Arroyave also shared that she doesn’t understand why some RHOBH fans wanted Rinna to stop being a Bravo star. She explained she believes the mother-of-two is entertaining whether she condones her actions or not.

“If you’re watching a show that’s scripted or drama or something like that — I’m watching those shows and I’m still picking people that I love or have a relationship with and those that I don’t like that I do.” like ‘Oh! She’s the worst character!’ I watch reality TV too!” said the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant.

Lisa Rinna referenced leaving RHOBH on Instagram

Rinna referenced her RHOBH departure in an Instagram postuploaded on January 6, 2023. In the caption of the post, the mother-of-two shared that she “had a good run” on the Bravo series.

“Love you! See you later! 🥰,” read part of the caption.

Several Bravo personalities flocked to the post’s comments section to share their support for Rinna.

Harry Hamlin shared his thoughts on his wife’s announcement

Rinna’s husband Harry Hamlin opened up about her announcement regarding her status as a Bravo star during an interview with People magazine in January 2023. The actor revealed that he supports Rinna and shared that he thinks: “[it was the] right decision.”

“I think she took it as far as she could take and she upped the show. Now it’s time to move on. Eight years is a long time to do anything, the same thing over and over again. It’s time to move on,” said the 71-year-old.

The thirteenth season of RHOBH has not yet started production.
