Britney Spears and Sam Asghari Respond to Miscarriage News: Update

Fans send their congratulations after Britney Spears’ miscarriage. The pop star and her fiancé, Sam Asghari, announced in Instagram posts on May 14, 2022 that they had lost their expected child.

“It is with our deepest sadness that we have to announce that we lost our miracle baby early in pregnancy,” the couple wrote in their post. “This is a devastating time for all parents. Perhaps we should have waited until we were further along to announce it, but we were overly excited to share the good news. Our love for one another is our strength. We will continue to try to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We ask for privacy at this difficult moment.”

Fans and friends poured out their support on Instagram. Paris Hilton commented: “🥺So sorry for your loss sis.😢 Always there for you. Sending you so much love❤️ I love you very much B💘.”

Sam continued to post on his Instagram story on May 16, 2022: “We have felt your support. We take things positively and move forward with our future. It’s hard, but we’re not alone. Thank you for respecting our privacy. We will be expanding our family soon.”

The couple announced their pregnancy on April 11, 2022 in an Instagram post on Britney’s account. “I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️…I was like ‘Gosh…what happened to my stomach?’ Britney snapped a photo of tea and flowers. “My husband said, ‘No, you’re pregnant, stupid 🤪 !!!’ So I took a pregnancy test…and uhhhhh…I’m having a baby 👶🏼…4 days later I got pregnant some more food 🤰🏼🙈🙈🙈”

She continued, “It’s growing!!! If there are 2 in it… maybe I’ll just lose it 😬😬😬😬😬😬… of course I won’t go out that much because the dads get their money 💴 shot of me 📸 as they unfortunately already did… it’s hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression…I have to say it’s absolutely awful 😔…Women didn’t talk about it back then…Some people found it dangerous when a woman with a baby inside her complained like that…but now women do talk about it every day… thank god we don’t have to keep this pain to ourselves 🤫 😬😬😬… This time I’m doing yoga 🧘‍♀️ every day!!! Spread lots of joy and love 💕 !!!”

News of her pregnancy came months after her conservatory ended. Britney claimed her father and conservator Jamie Spears put an IUD in her against her will. “I want to develop gradually and I want to have the right deal, I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was just told in conservatory I can’t get married or have a baby, I have an (IUD) in me right now so I won’t get pregnant,” she said in a hearing in June 2021. “I wanted to take the (IUD) out, so I could try to have another baby. But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have children – no more children. Basically, this conservatorship does me more harm than good.”
