Brock Davies reveals why he’s missing from Vanderpump Rules episodes

Vanderpump Rules alum Brock Davies revealed why he didn’t appear at all in the season 10 premiere. In an interview in February 2023 with us weeklythe founder of the Homebody app, announced that he and his wife, Scheana Shay, were having babysitting problems for their baby daughter, Summer Moon.

Davies told the outlet that he and Shay “just figured out our schedule” when filming for the Bravo reality show’s Season 10 began last summer.

Davies was last seen in the season 9 finale of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ when he got into a heated argument with James Kennedy on the DJ’s wedding weekend. Kennedy eventually kicked Davies out of his party.

Fast forward a year later and the premiere of “Vanderpump Rules” continued without Davies. The season 10 premiere entitled “Breaking Bubbas”, focused on Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney’s divorce and Kennedy’s introduction of his new girlfriend, Ally Lewber, to the group.

Scheana Shay revealed that it wasn’t possible for her and Brock Davies to go to all of the Vandeprump Rules filming events

Shay addressed the situation, explaining that Davies stayed home a lot with her baby while she went out to film the show, which she has been a part of since 2013. The “Good as Gold” singer explained that while they have their mom, Erika van Olphen, to help them babysit, they like to keep it at one of their homes with their daughter as often as they can.

“So I’m like, ‘Cool. I just look like mom goes out alone all the time,” Shay told the rendition of her scenes in Vanderpump Rules. “But it’s like we have a job to do, too, you know? And we have a child. So in the beginning we were still trying to get our bearings by asking, ‘Are we both going to all these events?’ And he’s like, ‘Just go, you know, it’s like the first week of shooting, do your thing.'”

Davies previously spoke about his reduced role in Season 10 in an interview with Showbiz CheatSheet. “This season I definitely took a step back,” he revealed in late 2022. “This season, unlike season 9, I definitely got a minor role.”

“I’m not front and center this season…. But it was great just sitting back and that’s what season one should have been for me, which was a lot,” he added.

Davies will feature prominently in season 10 at one point, as a cast trip to Mexico for his wedding to Shay is shown later this season.

Brock Davies revealed he wasn’t paid at all for Season 9 of Vanderpump Rules

When Davies first appeared as Shay’s fiancé in “Vanderpump Rules” in season 9, he was involved in several major storylines, including at the end of the season where he planned to combine Kennedy and Raquel Leviss’ engagement weekend with his own wedding to Shay to carry piggyback.

But despite his appearance as the leading man, Davies narrated “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” in January 2022 that he was never given a leading actor title and was never paid at all for his role in ‘Vanderpump Rules.’” He explained that he was Shay’s “plus one” during filming of the final season.

“Scheana has a contract with these guys, it’s her life and guess what that has to do with me and her kid,” he said at the time. “Over time it becomes revenue but for me I started the season just doing my best for Scheana and supporting her because that’s a decent jump in the money for her.”

When asked if he was even paid for his appearances in season 9 of “Vanderpump Rules,” Davies replied, “Zero, baby.”
