Brock Davies shares information about his limited role in Season 10

Vanderpump Rules Season 10 will premiere on February 8, 2023. One of the show’s stars, Brock Davies, teased that he will have a less significant role in the new season. As fans know, Davies was introduced as Scheana Shay’s love interest in the show’s ninth season. The couple welcomed daughter Summer Moon Honey Davies just before production of the ninth season of Vanderpump Rules began in 2021.

During a January 2023 appearance on Shay’s podcast Scheananigans with Scheana Shay Davies shared why he felt he would have less screen time in Season 10. He explained that he and Shay were planning their wedding, which took place on August 23, 2022, while filming the tenth season. He shared that he thinks fans will find individual Vanderpump Rules cast members more entertaining.

“We’re not as busy as everyone else who breaks up, dates and does that, we just got married,” the reality TV personality explained.

Shay chimed in that she thinks storylines involving individuals are “more relative than just being happy and in love.” Davies also shared that he believes Vanderpump Rules is “drama based.”

“Drama is never really happy, drama is very unnerving so it gets a little dark at times,” said Davies.

He clarified that he prefers to film season 10 over season 9.

“It was definitely the opposite of what Season 9 was just based on energy – everyone was actually doing stuff and it was really positive. And you know, it wasn’t so much tearing everyone down,” Davies said.

When speaking to E! News in September 2022, Shay and Davies spoke about their wedding which took place in Cancún, Mexico. The “Good as Gold” singer said the ceremony was “a dream come true.” Davies also noted that he appreciated his ceremony because all of his guests were there “for the right reasons.”

“Everyone came in and just freaked out and it was just love. Everyone felt it and it was just a great atmosphere. Everyone could hear the stories told by our families,” the Vanderpump Rules personality shared.

Speaking to Showbiz Cheat Sheet in December 2022Alongside Shay, Davies admitted his role on the Bravo series has been minimized for the upcoming season. He noted that he “definitely took a step back” in season 10 and “definitely got a minor role compared to season 9.”

“It was our wedding season. I’m not the center of attention this season just so we can agree. But it was great just sitting back and that’s what season one should have been for me, which was a lot,” Davies explained.

Shay also shared that she believed her co-stars, especially Lala Kent, had issues with Davies because he was a new cast member.

“But I also feel like the last season has been a year and a half without filming with Covid and all the restrictions. It was like, ‘Who can we attack?’ Ah, the new one. It is always the new person who is thrown into the lion’s den. Outside of that, there wasn’t much drama,” Shay said.
