Budweiser Brewer pulls out of Russia as multinationals weigh options

The world’s largest brewer is pulling out of Russia and exiting a key beer market as Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine drags on and multinationals weigh their options.

Anheuser-Busch InBev SA said it would sell its stake in its major Russian beer joint venture, posting a $1.1 billion impairment. That follows the movements of its biggest competitors, Heineken NV and Carlsberg A/S, which operates independently in Russia and announced weeks ago that it would be withdrawing.
