Bunny Ranch hooker, 28, arrested on drug and gun charges at notorious brothel

A prostitute at Nevada’s Moonlite Bunny Ranch was arrested early Tuesday after a shooting and altercation with police at the notorious legal brothel.

Savannah Henderson, 28, of Dayton, Nevada, was slammed with drug and gun charges related to the incident.

Henderson, who calls the brother Tiara Tae, is being held in Lyon County Jail on $86,000 bail.

Officers were called to the scene at 9:37pm last night after reports of gunfire following an argument between two colleagues. When police arrived, several more gunshots were heard and officers immediately began evacuating the Carson City brothel, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

An employee fired the shots before retreating to a room at the brothel, the sheriff’s office said. The police called in reinforcements and a crisis negotiation team, a SWAT team, arrived to address the issue.

After a nearly three-hour standoff, the female employee surrendered to police at 00:33 and was arrested. There were no reports of injuries.

The Moonlite Bunny Ranch Brothel was founded by Dennis Hof (above with some of his workers in 2008), who had half a dozen brothels in the two counties and starred in the adult HBO reality series Cathouse.

The Moonlite Bunny Ranch Brothel, which opened in 1955, is one of Nevada’s estimated 20 licensed brothels. The state is the only place in the US where someone can legally pay for sex.

The sex workers are regularly tested for STDs and HIV/AIDS and receive the necessary work cards from local law enforcement agencies after passing an FBI background check.

The Moonlite Bunny Ranch Brothel was founded by Dennis Hof, who ran half a dozen brothels in the two counties and starred in the adult HBO reality series Cathouse.

Hof, who wrote a book called The Art of the Pimp and called himself Trump of Pahrump, died in 2018.

Jesse Ventura, former Minnesota governor and former professional wrestler, wrote in his 1999 autobiography I Ain’t Got Time to Bleed that he frequented and had sex at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel in the 1970s.

Hof was also in the spotlight in 2015 when former NBA player Lamar Odom was found unconscious at his other brothel, Love Ranch, in Crystal, Nevada, after a four-day stay worth $75,000.

In 2003, a prostitute at Lyon County’s Moonlite Bunny Ranch accused Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil of grabbing her by the neck and throwing her against a wall.

Neil later argued against a battery charge, but Hof claimed the woman made up the story.
