Christian Academy of Louisville ends duPont Manual’s undefeated streak

WLKY IS ADDIE MEINERS AS THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MANUAL ACADEMY. Well, the CHRISTIAN ACADEMY Centurions were looking to ruin the Manual Crimsons’ undefeated season tonight. The Centurions came ready to defend their home game. And who led the charge? NO ONE OTHER THAN THE HODGE BROTHERS DRIVE FOR THE CENTURIONS. COLE TO CONNOR FOR SIX. THIS IS WHAT YOU DO. AFTER EMMANUEL TOUCHDOWN WAS CALLED BACK TONIGHT, THE CENTURION D WOULD HOLD ON A FEW MORE TIMES AND THEN THE INJURY WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE REST. AND THAT WAS THE STORY OF THE FIRST HALF, IN WHICH THE CENTURIONS WOULD GET 41 POINTS. JUNIOR CONNOR HODGE MAKES GREAT PLAY ON BOTH SIDES. CHECK OUT THIS SELECTION. THE CENTURION OFFENSE would make it seven and they would take an impressive 41-7 lead at halftime. But the Crimson weren’t ready to give up on their undefeated season. They staged a courageous comeback with four touchdowns in the second half. BUT THE DYNAMICS JUST WERE NOT ENOUGH. CAL WOULD DO A GREAT BEHAVIOR. WIN, 54 TO 36. A LOT OF GUYS PARTICIPATED. You know, we still have a few things to figure out, but we have a lot of weapons on offense and on the defensive side of the ball. And you know, our guys didn’t flinch, you know, they had a bad loss against LCA and didn’t play at the level that we wanted to play against. RYLE was very excited to see them come out and right the ship against a very tough Six-Eight manual. OH, we came out flat. But then we just had to keep going, and that’s what we did and played. We played pretty well. THE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY CENTURIONS WILL BE MOVED TO FIVE AND ONE IN THE SEASON. NEXT WEEK THEY PLAY IN THE DISTRICT AS THEY DRIVE FROM CHRISTIAN TO LARUE COUNTY
