Call of Duty Warzone Server Down – Latest Report

Thousands of players are reporting Call of Duty Warzone servers are down tonight.

And without clear guidance from Activision or Raven Software, there’s a good chance the current issues will be resolved quickly.

However, until we learn more about the latest Call of Duty Warzone issues, some players will be unable to connect to live servers.

This means you may also have trouble getting past the live connection process and getting booted to the home page.

Other reports suggest that players are simply stuck looking for a match and the ping is slowly increasing to its maximum.

Although tonight there are thousands of reports of problems being played in Warzone, there are still many players who can successfully populate games.

And that’s good news, since the issues are limited to a small group it gives Activision an opportunity to fix things faster.

The server issues follow a new update released earlier this week that made big changes to the available Warzone perks.

For details on all changes, see the full patch notes below:

Perk Adjustments

We see this chapter of Warzone as a constantly evolving and layered gameplay space where we want both counterplay and interplay between systems to be viable. We want to give players a variety of tools to create even more interesting stories or “big-brain” games that use systems in ways we never thought possible as developers.

Perks will be a significant part of the push toward that goal. The changes observed today give a taste of what’s to come in Season 3.

Below are the outlined adjustments:

  • ass vulture
    • The pouch now has a cyan outline for those who have the Scavenger equipped.
    • Drain time increased to 60 seconds from 20 seconds.
    • The pouch now gives +1 Armor Plate in addition to the previous items.
    • text update.

Scavenger was originally designed for a multiplayer encounter where your eliminations are usually easy to get to and foot traffic coincides with elimination zones. In a battle royale setting, players have a lot more space to cover themselves and there’s a lot more time between encounters. With this change, we want to help you find out where your spoils of war are located while giving you more time to acquire them. Upgrading items may seem small, but a more aggressive player can get better results by stocking up on gear.

  • Fill up
    • Recharge time reduced from 50 to 25 seconds.
    • Stim now has a 60 second timer to reduce spam and gas abuse.
    • The incorrect in-game text “50s” will be updated in a future update.

Restock has been extended in time with the original launch of Battle Royale. As Warzone has evolved, it has been noticed that its strength has waned. We want the red category of perks to have stronger choices that heavily influence playstyle around each perk, and there’s an opportunity with this revamp to create room to experiment with different gear that doesn’t get as much love receive.

  • EOD
    • EOD reduces damage or limits damage, whichever is greater.
    • Increased explosive damage cap from 80 to 200.
    • Increase damage reduction from 35% to 45%.
    • text update.

With the adjustment to Deadlies doing more damage in Season 1, we wanted to align EOD with these changes so that there is a viable counter in the perk meta.

  • Quick solution
    • Deploying an Armor Plate will now begin regenerating health.
    • text update.

Quick Fix was already a decent meta contender, but much like the other perks, it was designed primarily for multiplayer. This change makes its impact stronger in a battle royale environment, and we hope it will result in some really intriguing plays.

  • ghost
    • Ghost stealth effect is now only applied when the player is moving.
    • Players can observe this by hiding the arrow representing their operator on the mini-map when Ghost is active.
    • A text update will come in the future to clarify these changes.

In a pre-Caldera world, Ghost was always very useful. In Caldera, however, it’s evident that it’s become even more powerful with the ability to seek visual cover in foliage across the map. With this change, we’re aiming to balance the perk between mobile and stationary to provide more counterplay opportunities around the Ghost perk. We are thoroughly investigating the stealth and detection meta with the intention of creating more value in the options available to acquire and combat it.
