Cameron Joshua in prison: did he murder Takeoff? Arrest and charge under investigation

Cameron Joshua in prison: did he murder Takeoff? People are wondering if Cameron Joshua is in jail after being charged with the murder of rapper Takeoff.

According to authorities, Cameron was charged in connection with the shooting of rapper Takeoff last month after a private party in downtown Houston. At the time of the incident, he is suspected of illegal gun possession.

However, prosecutors claimed in court that the suspect, 22-year-old Cameron Joshua, did not fire a gun during the filming of Takeoff.

Takeoff, whose real name is Kirsnick Khari Ball, formed the Grammy-nominated Atlanta rap group Migos with his cousin Offset and uncle Quavo.

Fans and musicians including Justin Bieber and Drake honored Takeoff’s musical legacy at a memorial service in Atlanta.

Detectives are reportedly questioning him about the takeoff shootings, though he is being held on independent charges.

Cameron Joshua has been charged with unlawfully carrying a gun after it was claimed he was in possession of a handgun when the rapper was shot and killed at around 2:30am on November 1 after a private party outside of 810 Billiards & Bowling.

After Wednesday’s hearing, a prosecutor for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office issued a brief statement to reporters, saying they believe Cameron Joshua had been properly charged and that they were still investigating Takeoff’s death.

According to Joshua’s attorney, Christopher Downey, there is no evidence his client fired a gun or was involved in the filming of Takeoff.

Joshua is also accused of possessing a gun when he was arrested on November 22 and faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

What does Joshua know about Takeoff’s death?

It’s unclear if he does, because when asked if he knew who killed Takeoff, Downey replied that they would speak to prosecutors if they felt like it. They are currently being charged but have remained silent.

The truth is, according to Downey, Cameron didn’t film Joshua Takeoff.

Joshua was ordered to remain in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for the following week during the hearing.

At least two people fired shots when Takeoff was killed, according to Houston police. According to an autopsy, Takeoff’s primary causes of death were penetrating gunshot wounds to the head, torso, and arm.

Two other people were shot, but their injuries were not life-threatening. The 40 party-goers who left after the shooting were sought out by investigators for questioning.

Lil Cam has been released on bail

Lil Cam was released in April 2022 after being released on bail for a previous crime.

He could face additional charges if detectives discover the recent warrant violates the terms of his current bond and that he was involved in Takeoff’s death.

He was already out on bail after being charged in Harris County in September 2021 with possession of a fake ID and in April with theft of a vehicle. He was also found guilty of grand larceny in Los Angeles County in October.home
