Camila Cabello was back on her feet after Devix’s performance

The competition heats up on season 22 of The Voice. With only 13 contestants remaining and three of them eliminated during tonight’s results show, there is a lot of pressure to make every performance memorable in order to garner enough fan votes.

Last night’s live performances proved that none of the singers take this competition lightly and with several singers receiving a standing ovation from all four coaches, the race to the final is proving to be very close with the coaches protecting your team very members.

On last night’s live show, coach Camila Cabello called out Blake Shelton for being the only coach not standing after Devix brought down the house with his performance of “Are you mine?” by Arctic Monkeys.

Voting for the top 13 is already complete, but fans can watch Devix’s performance and hear what Coach Camila had to say below.

The cover of Devix’ Arctic Monkey on “The Voice” was loved by many, with fans in the YouTube comments section saying, “His tone is so alternative rock. It’s so cool to have someone representing that side of rock this season,” and “Devix is really fucking talented and that was a really cool song choice for him. He shows us who he is as an artist and gives us great performances every week.”

The performance also sparked a huge reaction at The Voice studio. Immediately after he was done, host Carson thanked Daly Devix for “bringing some rock ‘n’ roll back with ‘The Voice,’ we appreciate it. It’s a sound and a vibe and a feel that it seems we’ve been missing for a while.”

Devix’s coach Camila Cabello was very proud of Devix, letting the singer know that he was a superstar and that Blake was “mad” and “should have stood up,” while John and Gwen both stood up. Gwen and John join in, teasing that Blake only stayed seated because he’s tired and having a harder time getting up.

Blake clarified that just because he didn’t stand up, “It doesn’t mean I don’t love it!”

Some fans are mixed with Devix’s performance

While many “The Voice” viewers are very supportive of Devix in the competition, some aren’t so convinced he should make it to the finals and win.

In a discussion post to follow on RedditHer fans complained about the performances when they aired, with one fan writing, “I wasn’t too keen on Devix’s performance. He navigated the song as much as possible, but there were times when he just wasn’t comfortable in the bag. Still, if there’s anyone voting for Rock, he didn’t really have any competition. So I don’t know if America is saying, “Finally! Some stone!’ or ‘I didn’t really like that song…’?”

Another fan on Instagram supported Devix, however, writing, “This gig made me seek out Arctic Monkeys because this song is awesome and bruh rocked it!”

Devix’s fate will be revealed tonight, November 22 at 8:00 p.m. EST when the top 13 results from season 22 of The Voice air on NBC. The episode is available to stream on Peacock the next day.
