CAMPAIGN 2024: How to track who qualified for local, state and federal races in Alabama.
Potential candidates have until Friday, November 10th at 5:00 p.m. to qualify with either the Democratic Party or the Republican Party if they want to participate in the March 5, 2024 primary election.

In some races, people have said they want to compete but haven’t qualified yet.
The top races in 2024 include:
- Race for all seven seats in Alabama’s U.S. House of Representatives, including the open seat in the newly formed District 2, which includes Montgomery
- Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, which opens with the retirement of Chief Justice Tom Parker
- Montgomery County Commission District 3, which opens after Ronda Walker decided not to seek re-election
