Can you build in Fortnite?

Can you build in Fortnite in Chapter 3 Season 2? The answer is no, you cannot currently build a structure in normal game mode. The reason for this is related to the current storyline, with Dr. Slone gets rid of the ability in the official trailer. The No Building Rule means Fortnite must be played differently, with matches subject to new rules.

Instead of building huge towers, Fortnite fans must secure the best locations using all of the parkour skills currently available in the game. And to maintain cover, Fortnite players now have an overshield on their shield and health.

The overshield is your first line of defense: before your shield and health are hit, your overshield will break. Your overshield will still recover if it drops all the way to 0. It brings Fortnite more in line with other battle royale titles, including rivals like Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone. Epic Games didn’t share why they made such drastic changes or when they might revert them.

According to recent reports, the Fortnite building will return to the game on March 29th. However, fans should note that these are just rumors and should be taken with a large pinch of salt until we hear more from Epic Games. Epic Games has also confirmed that the Fortnite building has not been removed from Competitive/Arena playlists, Team Rumble and Creative Islands. So there are still ways to enjoy the normal building rules in Fortnite in the early days of Chapter 3 Season 2. Can you build in Fortnite – Chapter 3 Season 2 Update
