Candice Warner’s surprising take on New Year’s resolutions as she admits she NEVER sticks to one

Unlike most people who use the New Year as an opportunity to start on a clean slate or set goals, Candice Warner has admitted that she has no resolutions for next year.

The former Ironwoman, 37, gave an interesting take on the idea and why she hasn’t set one for 2023.

Candice, wife of Australian cricket star David Warner, said she prefers balance in her life to help her achieve her goals.

“I never stick to any, so I don’t really have any,” she told the Daily Telegraph of her resolutions.

“I believe everything in moderation is the way to go.”

This isn’t the first time Candice has spoken out about “moderation” — the athlete is known for incorporating it into her daily life.

Last year, Candice revealed the secrets to her toned physique to Daily Mail Australia.

The blonde bombshell and busy mother-of-three said she eats clean and exercises meanly, but doesn’t mind the occasional sweet treat or glass of wine.

“Eating is all about balance,” Candice said.

“I try to eat as clean and healthy as possible, but I have a sweet tooth. If the girls have some little cookies, I’ll share them with them,” the mother-of-three admitted.

“If they eat ice cream on a hot summer day, I’ll have that. I like to have a glass of wine with my husband. So everything in moderation. I’m not “you can’t do that, you can’t have that”. I can’t take it for myself.’

Candice said at the time that when it comes to working out, she enjoys going to the gym or walking with a weighted vest and loves the mental benefits of working out.

“Last year I was focused on getting stronger and fitter for SAS Australia and now it’s just about maintaining the workload I put in last year so it’s about enjoying training,” explained Candice.

“I walk a lot more, sometimes I’ll put on a 10kg or 15kg weight vest and go for a walk or just work out at the gym. For me exercise is more what it does to me mentally than what it does physically.’

Candice says exercise clears her mind and makes her feel like a “better mom and wife.”

“It’s my time away from the kids, I need that break, and it’s a time I don’t have my phone with me, it’s just me and my own thoughts and a lot of my brainstorming time and think as I do “I’m not clouded and can really only focus on what I need,” she said refreshingly.

Candice says exercise clears her mind and makes her feel like a “better mom and wife.”

“Afterward, I feel like a better mom and wife… mentally I need it [exercise].’

In April 2015, Candice and David were married in a star-studded ceremony at the scenic Terrara House Estate winery on the NSW south coast.

They are now parents to three daughters, Ivy, six, Indi, five, and Isla, one.
