The Arizona Cardinals will be testing who can face outfielder Markus Golden as a pusher in 2022.
Chandler Jones is no longer a Cardinal and aside from Golden, the Cardinals are counting on cross-line athletes like Dennis Gardeck, Devon Kennard, Victor Dimukeje and rookies Cameron Thomas, Myjai Sanders and Jesse Luketa.
The Cardinals could use another passing tool with quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes, Matthew Stafford, Justin Herbert, Derek Carr and Russell Wilson on their schedule in 2022.
There’s a chance the Cardinals could add more depth to their roster if a team rolls out a pick before in the third round.

Arizona may add ‘not performing well’ players
Field pusher Oshane Ximines was drafted by the New York Giants in the third round of the 2019 NFL draft. While the Queens-born player had a four-and-a-half hit in his rookie season, it’s gone downhill since then. Ximines only played in 27% of the Giants’ defensive saves in 2021. New York also tried to let him play as a full-back, which is not the Old Dominion alum’s forte.
According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, The Giants are likely to release Ximines as the team invests in outside full-back talent. The Giants drafted Kayvon Thibodeaux fifth overall and signed Jihad Ward in free agency.
Raanan wrote, “It was a much more talented group than it was years ago, and it ended up knocking Oshane Ximines out of the mix. The 2019 third round selection was unsuccessful. “
If the Giants release Ximines, then the Cardinals can join to add his services. The third round selection was previously a huge disappointment. But he entered 2020 as one of the Giants’ starting players and suffered a shoulder injury in Week 4. He will undergo shoulder surgery at the end of the season.
Ximines will enter their third season under the new defensive coordinator of Giants Wink Martindale, who run a pressurized formation.
The 25-year-old is excited about the new-look defense.
“I love it, man,” Ximines said of the new defense. “It’s a lot of moving parts. You never know how we will come to you. It’s great to watch and I’m excited to play in it. “
With a good training camp, maybe the Giants keep Ximines, who can thrive under the talent they’ve brought in. At the same time, Ximines have just 13 tackles in 2021 and made costly mistakes, including an offside penalty in Week 8 against Kansas City captain denied an intercept in Darnay’s fourth quarter. Holmes.
Former Giants Galore in Arizona
If Ximines were free to roam New York, the Cardinals would already have plenty of players with ties to the Giants.
Golden and Kennard were formerly Giants. The Cardinals also signed attacking midfielder Will Hernandez during the season and the team signed Colt McCoy last season. McCoy is the Giants’ reserve quarterback in 2020. You can’t forget left guard Justin Pugh, who played for the Giants for 5 seasons.
Maybe it was just a coincidence for general manager Steve Keim.
However, Ximines is well worth keeping an eye on, especially since he’s 25 years old and has had almost 5 layoffs during the rookie season.
