Carrie Bickmore made her co-stars jaw drop on Tuesday when she revealed she had never heard of an iconic Australian figure.

During a segment on The Project discussing a national potato shortage affecting snack and chip production, Peter Helliar quipped, “Our thoughts are with the Gobbledok.”

Confused, Carrie turned to Peter and asked, “What is the Gobbledok?”

“What is the Gobbledock? Oh my!’ Peter shot back, stunned that Carrie had never heard of him.

Her co-star Kate Langbroek stepped in, explaining that it’s the creature that “comes out at night and eats the chips,” adding, “I know about the Gobbledock, I’m not a complete idiot.”

Carrie then threw into the commercial, saying that she would “look up Gobbledock” during the break.
