Celtic are keen on a speedy left-back as Postecoglou’s comments could come true for 2021

Celtic are interested in Francisco Ortega, with the Velez Sarsfield star now a real option to bolster Ange Postecoglou’s left-back options.
The Bhoys clinched the Scottish Premiership title from Rangers and are once again the dominant force in Scotland.
Rangers will be pushing again this summer and Celtic need to make more smart signings after a strong summer window last year.
Left-back seems to be a central position for Celtic and the Bhoys are casting their net far and wide.
Josip Juranovic performed well at left-back last season but Postecoglou appear to want another natural option in that area of the pitch.

Celtic are interested in Francisco Ortega
The latest name to be linked with joining Celtic and battling for the left-back role is Ortega.
The Scottish Daily Mail claim that Celtic are “looking into a move” to bring Ortega to Scotland.
Celtic have reportedly compiled positive scouting reports on Ortega and could lure him to Parkhead.
Postecoglou suggested last summer that Celtic would focus on the Asian and South American markets.
We’ve seen Celtic sign a number of Japanese players in the likes of Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi.
Celtic haven’t really delved into South America yet but those comments from Postecoglou could now come true with a move for Argentina ace Ortega.
Ortega, 23, has developed through the Vélez streak and has now made 97 first-team appearances for Argentina side.
10 assists in those 97 times is not a bad record for Ortega and he can provide real competition for Greg Taylor at Celtic.
Ortega has yet to play for Argentina but has two caps for their Olympic team and was not a U20 international before.
Fast and attacking, Ortega has even played left wing at times and Celtic could add this attacking option to compete with Taylor.
Hammarby’s Mohanad Jeahze is another Celtic target at left-back and Ortega can now be added to the Bhoys’ list of potential signings.
