Chainsmoker’s Drew Taggart Says TI Slapped Him For Kissing On The Cheek

It looks like Andrew “Drew” Taggart won’t forget the first time he met TI because it resulted in a slap in the face! Drew, one of two members of the Chainsmokers, told the story via Tiktok. The one-minute clip features Drew and his other half, Alexander Pall, at a club near celebrities like TI and Big Sean. After a few seconds, the video shows Drew and Alex telling the Punch story while inside a moving car.

“TI literally just punched me in the face,” Drew said. “We’re in a mood and I thought I gave him a kiss on the cheek but it was totally my fault.”

Both Drew and Alex laughed at that part of the story. Then Drew went on to explain what happened, including TI’s reaction.

“He said don’t do that and I was okay. He pushed me away and I was fine, I was bad,” Andrew shared.

At this point, Alex interrupted and said: “Then his friend goes, you have to get your boy.” Alex said it was a “what the f**k” moment for him because he had no context about the situation.

Drew says TI accepted his apology

Drew explained that TI punched him in the face and he responded with apologies. The artist then seemed to embrace the apology as he reportedly replied: “Okay cool, we’re good” to Drew.

Andrew added that it was “the weirdest interaction ever.” Meanwhile, Alex added to the story by saying: “I did the coolest thing I’ve ever done and then you kissed TI.” to draw more laughter from the car crowd, including Drew.

“First of all, TI is absolutely right here. I felt the vibrations way too much and I kissed TI on the cheek and he slapped me in the face for it,” Drew said. “It’s perfectly fine.”
