One of the most anticipated moments of the 2022 NFL season will be Davante Adams’ debut with the Las Vegas Raiders. The superstar’s extensive recordist has headed West after spending eight years with the Green Bay Packers and being reunited with his college quarterback Derek Carr. His decision to go silver and black has been one of the most talked about storylines this season and that will continue.
All-star recipients can often become a headache for teams, because of the depth perception Raid. Adams is not that type of personality. He just wanted to put his head down and play football. Chandler Jones is another star player who has joined the Raiders this season and he has been blown away by how hard Adams works.
“One thing about Davante that I have learned is that he is a very hard worker. If he doesn’t do something right, he tries to do it again,” Jones told Joy Taylor on “The Herd.” “He would go out there and repeat the maneuver over and over.”
Jones has faced off against Adams in the past as a member of the Arizona Cardinals. He sent a warning to NFL defenses everywhere who had to play wide receiver.
“I think he is a dangerous person to have for our team. I hated being a defensive dispatcher at night, knowing I had to face Davante Adams that Sunday. I’m just glad he was on my side for sure,” Jones said.

Jones on the Carr-Adams . relationship
Much of the discussion surrounding Adams concerns his relationship with Carr. The two played at Fresno State together and were very close friends. The two have always talked about how close they are, but Jones has only seen it with his own eyes. He has noticed that they are often together on and off the training ground.
“Those people seem very close,” Jones said. “They are always together. They always golf after the OTAs. When he signed, they posted a selfie on Instagram.”
The relationship between Carr and Adams is an important one for the Raiders and can have big implications for offense.
Can Adams live up to the hype?
Adams is widely considered to be the best wide player in the league. Raid fans have adored him for years due to his relationship with Carr. It’s been a long time since a Raid gamer has been advertised so loudly. The team has made notable extensive receiver acquisitions over the past two decades, but none of them have performed well.
Adams will be looking to break that trend. His hard work and tendency to stay out of the limelight is a good sign. The Raiders need him to continue to be the widest record player in the NFL if they hope to compete for the Super Bowl championship this year. Even though he’s no longer playing with Aaron Rodgers, it’s hard to imagine his numbers dropping when Carr pitches for him.
