Channel Seven is paying off the designer after the bespoke dress Georgie Parker wore for Logies was ‘slaughtered’

Channel Seven has agreed to compensate a fashion designer after the stylish suit it loaned to actress Georgie Parker for the 2022 Logie Awards was returned “slaughtered”.

Bridal shop owner Cristina Tridente designed a stunning sparkly suit for the Home and Away star to wear to the ceremony in June, but it was later tailored without permission.

Tridente added that the garment was not returned to her as promised and she had to follow relevant parties on social media until she finally got a response.

“The stylist took it to a tailor and altered the shape of the suit without permission,” she told the Daily Telegraph.

“It wasn’t a fit issue, the whole pant was butchered to change the shape,” she added.

She posted photos on social media highlighting the damaged garment, which had the pants cut off 28cm to ensure it fit Parker perfectly.

Tridente tried to get in touch with Reload Agency’s stylist Pip Cook to discuss the situation but said she was ignored on Instagram.

Reload Agency declined to comment on the matter.

She then turned to some fellow entrepreneurs for advice, and they suggested Tridente publish her story.

After raising her situation to the media, the situation was promptly resolved when Channel Seven agreed to compensate her for the damage.

“I am pleased to say that the suit has been returned and the cost has been paid by Channel 7,” Tridente said in a statement.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Seven for comment.
