‘Charles has always been jealous of Andrew’: Lady Victoria Hervey claims ‘daggers are out’
Prince Andrew has always been a source of “jealousy” for King Charles, socialite and former girlfriend of the Duke of York, Lady Victoria Hervey, claimed as the Duke faces eviction from Windsor Lodge if his £249,000 stipend pound is reduced.
The 46-year-old, who briefly dated the now-disgraced prince, said he had been “very badly advised” in recent years and now faces a harsh reality as his doting mother, the Queen, passed away.
Lady Victoria claimed in an interview with GB News that King Charles was jealous of his “successful military career” and the fact that he was “the stand-in”.
It comes as Prince Andrew is reportedly concerned about a decision by his older brother to cut his £249,000 annual stipend from April, which he told friends would mean he would lose the upkeep of his current Windsor Royal Lodge could not deny.
But royal experts have said the prince needs to face reality and start “living within his means”.
Prince Andrew has reportedly told friends he has no intention of leaving his Windsor estate after signing a £250-a-week lease for the next 75 years

The Duke of York has seen increasing pressure on his personal finances after being forced to give up his career as working royal following his settlement with prosecutor Virginia Guiffre.
Ms Guiffre, a victim of sex trafficking by pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, accused the Duke of sex crimes against her and reached a settlement
Lady Victoria told GB News on Friday: “I think Charles was always a bit jealous of him as an older brother [Prince Andrew].
“He had a very successful military career for 20 years.
“I heard he’s always been jealous of him.
‘So once the queen is gone, the daggers are out.’
Referring specifically to the lodge at Windsor, Lady Victoria said: ‘You have time.
“But Charles inherited how much money and still he can’t help his brother?
“Prince Andrew had to settle down [with Virginia Guiffre]he had no choice, and once he was forced to, they just took everything else away from him, piece by piece.”
She also told the show that she loves performing on television.
It follows royal pundits who tell MailOnline that Prince Andrew should be slung out of his mansion of grace and favor unless he agrees to pay more than the £250-a-week peppercorn rent he’s reportedly being charged .
The disgraced Duke of York has told friends he will not be able to afford the upkeep of the Royal Lodge at Windsor if his £249,000 annual stipend is cut from April.
There is mounting speculation that he could be forced out as part of his plan to cut royal costs. With a set of brows, Andrew has hinted he won’t go without a fight – but he was “selfish” by critics.
Incredibly, he has rented the 30-bedroom property for over 60 years and is reportedly paying £250 a week for what former MP Norman Baker, an expert on royal finances, told MailOnline ‘wouldn’t get you a closet in London’.
Mr Baker said: “It’s about time Andrew started living within his means, rather than expecting other people to subsidize his luxurious lifestyle. If he can’t pay commercial rent on the property with his own money, he should evict and move to a much smaller location. The taxpayer subsidizes it.”

The Duke of York reportedly told friends he would likely not be able to maintain his home in Windsor (pictured) without receiving hundreds of thousands of pounds from the king every year
There are mounting suggestions he could be forced out of Windsor Lodge after the king hinted he would cut Andrew’s allowance of £250,000 until April as part of his plan to cut royal expenses
Biographer and investigative journalist Tom Bower said: “Andrew’s selfish behavior threatens King Charles’ reputation and even his coronation. Andrew believes he can outrageously overcome the predicament he created himself. By making threats he is playing with fire.
“The King’s best solution is to force Andrew out of the huge house, into accepting much more modest accommodations and to convince him that his request for rehabilitation is pointless – and will end up being self-defeating. Not only for himself, but also for his two daughters.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: “What the royal family will do with a problem like Andrew is unclear.
“He has, as far as can be seen, absolutely no intention of undertaking any charitable work, as the Queen has allegedly suggested, in order to seek future redemption as he sees no reason for repentance. Before the court of public opinion he is already guilty.
“Nevertheless, he appears to have or has access to very substantial funds. King Charles may cut his stipend. However, it seems extremely unlikely that he will change his lifestyle, reprehensible as it may appear to the public.
Andrew is reportedly refusing to move.
A source told The Mirror: “He (said) he’s not going, there’s no chance that’s going to happen and even if the king wanted him, how would that work?
“If he (the king) wants to spend millions to get him back the money he’s already spent on the estate, that’s another matter.”
“Can you imagine a situation where the duke threatens to sue his brother the king for money? It would be unthinkable.”
And Andrew has some reasons to argue his case to stay.
In 2003 he signed a 75-year lease on the house on the condition that he pay £250 a week. As a result, he figured he could call the property home for the rest of his life.
The Royal Lodge has 30 bedrooms and is set on 98 acres. Andrew is said to spend most of his time at the property.
When Andrew was hit by bombshell sex abuse allegations in 2019 – which he strenuously denies – he resigned as working king and as a result ceased to receive public funds.
Instead, he relied on the generosity of his late mother, who supported him with private funds from the Duchy of Lancaster. The total was reported to be around £249,000 a year.
However, in recent weeks the king has reportedly urged all members of the royal family to tighten their belts and expect less money from the duchy – now owned by Charles – than in the past.
Andrew finally sold his seven-bedroom Swiss ski chalet for £19million late last year.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment on Lady Victoria’s allegations when contacted by MailOnline.
