WonFes 2023 Shangai is open, and that means we can get our first look at the Mai Shiranui Pop Up Parade figure based on her The King of Fighters ’97 Look. Good Smile Company shared a photo of an unpainted prototype of hers. It’s a work in progress and subject to change, but provides an indication of what to expect.
Here’s the official announcement showing what May could look like. She will wear her standard costume while also carrying her Kacho-Sen fan.

This isn’t the first figure from Good Smile Company based on the character, as they also released a Mai Shiranui Nendoroid. However, this surfaced in 2017 and has never been repeated. A 1:8 scale figure of her was also made.
However, the figure manufacturer has recently released a whole series of pop-up parade fighting game figures. In 2022, Chun-Li and Cammy were introduced. Those released in 2023.
The King of Fighters 97 The Mai Shiranui Pop-Up Parade Figure is in development. The last entry in the series is KOF XV for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X and PC.
