Chelsea Houska describes life at home as ‘pure chaos’

Meanwhile, Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska described her personal life as “a mess.” a Q&A interview for HGTV ahead of the premiere of Down Home Fab in January 2023.

Houska responded to a fan question, “What’s a typical DeBoer day without cameras like?”

“We get up at 7 a.m. and have breakfast. From the time the kids get up until they go to bed, it’s always chaos,” she replied.

The mother-of-four took fans through a typical day with the DeBoers and told fans her family loves spending time outside and grilling.

“They love spending time outside to check on the animals and play,” she said. “We love just hanging around the house and grilling. We like burgers, steak and kebabs. We always have friends with us because all the children have plenty of space to run around.”

Chelsea talk about new show ‘Down Home Fab’

Houska is back on reality television. The 31-year-old stars alongside her husband Cole DeBoer in a new design show called Down Home Fab.

The six-episode series, which premiered Jan. 16 on HGTV, follows Houska and DeBoer as they transform South Dakota real estate from the drab to the fabulous.

Houska and DeBoer spoke along E! news about the show ahead of its January 16 premiere.

The Teen Mom star told the outlet that her and DeBoer’s interest in design goes back a long way.

“Even when we first met, we bit ‘Fixer Upper’ and all these shows,” she told the publication in January 2023. “And I was always looking at houses, like, ‘Oh, we could fix that. ‘”

houseka left Teen Mom in November 2020 after appearing in the franchise for over a decade.

In her interview with E! News, Houska opened up about her decision to return to reality TV after saying goodbye to “Teen Mom.”

“If we were going to return to television, I wanted it to be something light-hearted, feel good, and be able to show our authentic selves,” she told the outlet.

She continued, “People obviously knew us from the show, but that’s just a whole other side. It’s light-hearted, which is what we tend to be. We want to find fun in literally every situation, no matter what it is.”

Chelsea’s dad makes surprise appearance on ‘Down Home Fab’

Down Home Fab is full of surprises. After The sunHouska’s father, Randy, made an unexpected appearance on Monday, January 23rd’s episode.

Fan favorite “Teen Mom” ​​appeared mid-episode to help install a sink on one of Houska and DeBoer’s projects.

“My dad, Randy, is the best. I ordered the heaviest farmhouse sink in the world for Jenny and Neil. My dad will pick it up and bring it straight to us so we don’t have to stop working,” Houska said in a confessional, The Sun reported.

Fans were also able to catch a sweet moment between father and daughter later in the episode when Houska asked Randy, “Are you proud of me?”

“A little,” Randy replied jokingly.

Teen Mom: Family Reunion Season 2 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on MTV.
