A “Dancing With the Stars” professional reacts to her ex-husband’s desire to have children. Cheryl Burke was on March 9, 2023 Episode of “The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever” with Chris Harrisonin which she was asked for Matthew Lawrence’s comments on his plans to have a child with his new girlfriend, TLC member Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas – who Burke says she loves.

Burke, a big TLC fan, told Harrison that she wasn’t “surprised” to hear her ex wanted to be a father. “He comes from a big family,” Burke said. She explained that she and Lawrence had discussed having kids together, but she put her career first and wanted to make sure that if she “needs to push, she’s there.” [her] body in a dance costume,” she could.

“I really, really hope he can actually have a kid with Chilli. I find that amazing because I think that’s what he wanted, you know?” she said.

Burke and Lawrence married in 2019 and announced their separation in 2022.

In an interview with Entertainment TonightBurke’s ex-husband gushed about his new girlfriend just a few months later The two made their relationship official on Instagram.

“Life is always a surprise. My life is in full bloom right now. I’m hanging out with an amazing woman like Chilli. I’ve never been able to experience this type of relationship before, so it’s very special. She is a very, very special person. I wish more people on this planet were like her. We’d be much better off,” he told the outlet.

When asked if the two wanted to have children together, Lawrence said, “That’s the game plan.”

On Harrison’s podcast, Burke expressed nothing but positive vibes for her ex, saying that she wishes him the best in life.

Cheryl Burke isn’t sure if she’ll have kids of her own or not

Burke ended her stint on Dancing With the Stars after season 31 and announced her decision to leave the program during a live show. As she’s zoomed out and looked at her life and future, Burke has often spoken out about what she thinks about having kids.

On November 1, 2022, Episode of her podcast Burke in the Game.the ballroom pro told her friend Peta Murgatroyd that she wasn’t entirely sure about this next phase in her life.

“Honestly, I’m so scared of carrying my own baby,” she said at the time, citing her struggle with body dysmorphia. “If I’m going to carry a baby, I’d probably want to have a partner with me,” she continued, adding, “I’ve really thought about adoption. I don’t want to wait until I have a partner.”

In another episode of her podcast, Burke discussed freezing her eggs. She chatted with “Bachelor” winner Whitney Bischoff, who works as a registered nurse and egg freezing coordinator. Ultimately, Burke said she didn’t want to change her life until she was done with DWTS.
