A new episode of the popular drama, Chicago firehas fans concerned that actor Brett Dalton is leaving the show after his character, Jason Pelham, appeared to leave the narrative.

Created by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, Chicago fire acts as NBC’s first show in the Chicago Franchise later added by Chicago P.D and Chicago Med. The drama first premiered in 2012 and is currently in its tenth season on the network.

Chicago fire Season 10 Episode 14 titled An officer with gritShe finally saw Kidd and Pelham have a quiet moment together to have heart to heart.
In the end, Kidd thanked Pelham for rising as a worthy leader despite her inability to do so. Kidd admitted the Pelham fire department was in good hands and left, but Pelham’s expression told viewers he had more on his mind.
In a later scene in the episode, Pelham confessed to Kidd that he had made the decision to move to House 72 and settle there while she led House 81.
Viewers found that transfer had already been approved by Boden and Pelham, then thanked Kidd for being an inspiration.
Loyal fans fear the worst
While fans were happy to have Kidd cast Truck 81 on the horizon, tributes to Brett Dalton’s character started pouring in.
One fan was clearly frustrated with the writers’ decision to postpone the character, stating he deserved better.
Finally, this fan made it pretty clear that they didn’t want to lose the actor forever after a majority wanted to continue seeing his role.
The signs seem to point to Brett Dalton’s exit
While NBC is yet to announce Dalton’s departure from the show, there are some signs that seem to point to his departure.
First, fan side reported that Kidd’s actress Miranda Rae Mayo has shared some behind-the-scenes set photos from upcoming episodes of Chicago fireand Dalton was not included in the crowd.
Also the synopsis for season 10, episode 15 with the title The Missing Piecesuggests that Pelham complete the transfer, leaving one vacancy on the truck:
“After being injured in an industrial fire, Severide and Seager work together to investigate an anonymous tip. Kidd is looking for the right person to fill the vacancy on Truck 81. A possible new recruit for 51 will be tested on a call.”
Most recently, Dalton shared a post on his Instagram revealing that he was in New York for work and confirmed that the actor is already working on a new show that fans will be seeing “soon”.
