Chicago Fire star Joe Minoso looked into the future. However, you may wonder what all that might entail. Well, Minos revealed in a recent interview that he plans to make a short film starring Christian Stolte.

Yes, Minoso is looking to get behind the camera in the future. During the interview, he said, “Yes. I’m actually working with a writer to potentially direct a small film starring Christian Stolti. It was originally a play that I did almost 10 years ago, and we thought it could be a nice little movie.”

It’s interesting that this will be a mini-movie, as Minoso starts in this particular movie. Interestingly, it was originally just a dish that Minoso concocted as he revealed earlier only to later find out it also works as a mini movie.

Joe Cruz’s Story on ‘Chicago Fire’

How it all started for him, though, on Chicago Fire? Why did he take the role of Cruz and what did he see with the character?

He say, “It’s a fascinating question for TV series, so many characters are established year after year and one actor just can’t tell what’s going to happen. I never predicted in season one I would let a man die in a fire in an attempt to save my brother’s life and then cut to the latter two, where I was a Zumba trainer. I think for any actor, it’s our responsibility to find empathy in each character. Reasons that you can grasp help connect you to that role.”

Cruz timeline is not linear. He’s had his ups and downs on NBC drama, but that’s one of the reasons he’s so interesting to so many people.

He continued, “For Cruz, I felt it was important for you to understand how much he wore his heart on his sleeve. How much he truly loves his family and how much he is willing to go to great extremes to protect them. I think that’s the only way for us to know what a genuine man he really is and why he chose this profession.”

This character has been through a lot of experience, but he is definitely a family man. He wants to protect his family at all costs, which is part of the reason he’s drawn to the show. There’s no doubt what kind of person Cruz is, but when you’re friends real problems can arise as we’ve seen in the past. You can see Chicago Fire on NBC. It is also available to stream on Peacock.
