Chrissie Swan to host another season of ‘Would I be Lying to You’? despite bad rating

Chrissie Swan will return to host another season of Would I Lye To You? despite mixed reviews and low ratings for the first season.

Channel 10’s panel show will follow the same format, with two teams trying to fool each other into elaborate stories while studio audiences and viewers at home try to decipher fact from fiction.

Production on season one of WILTY has been impacted by Covid-19, meaning the network has been forced to make last-minute cast changes. Ten hopes it will reach its “full potential” in season two, reports TV Blackbox.

Filming begins in October.

On the show, comedians and celebrity guests tell bizarre and far-fetched stories about themselves.

Some are true and some are made up by the producers. The aim of the game is to fool the opposing team.

Chrissie, who filled in for Carrie Bickmore on The Project earlier this year, has lost 90kg since the start of the Covid lockdowns.

She previously attributed her weight loss to daily walks and not drinking.

But she recently decided to stop publicly discussing her weight loss.

“I think the reason I’m not talking about anything now is because I’ve been doing it for the last 20 years,” she told Stellar magazine in July.

“I’ve waded into that kind of toxic environment and it didn’t make me feel good. And it didn’t help me, and it didn’t help anyone. And it just promotes an interest in a woman’s body, which is irrelevant,” she added.

Chrissie briefly addressed her weight loss in an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly earlier this year.

She said the “huge” lifestyle changes she’s made over the past 12 months have improved her life in many ways.

“I’m not going to talk about the size of my ass. I won’t tell you what I eat in a day. “Because I’ve read these stories and they make me feel bad.”
