Connor Brennan, better known as Connor B. or Connor the Cat, is set to star in the new season of The Bachelorette. The news came as a spoiler posted by Reality Stevewho said that Connor would meet Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey as part of the applicant pool.
“I have a ‘Bachelorette’ casting spoiler for you. Here we go. They’ve done this before in the past, when they brought a former contestant from a previous “Bachelorette” season back to the competition. Well we have one. There is a former contestant who was on a previous season of Bachelorette and will be a contestant on Gabby and Rachel’s season. Who is it? Connor Brennan,” Reality Steve said in a video spoiler released March 25, 2022.
Reality Steve went on to say that he wasn’t sure if Connor would only be in the first night or if he would join later in the season, but the spoiler king seemed very confident that Connor would be in the cast.
Connor has since denied that he will be in the new season.
“News for me, lmao,” he tweeted in response to Reality Steve’s spoiler. Things have escalated since then.
Here’s what you need to know:
Connor has received negative news since the spoiler was released
Connor posted a few more tweets after reading some not so nice things after the Reality Steve spoiler. Connor claims he won’t be in the new season of The Bachelorette.
“We get it; I’m nervous and annoying and desperate for attention and I’m upset, thanks for reminding me now stfu and do something nice for someone you damn jackal.” he tweeted.
“Reality Steve drops a silly rumor that I’m going back to Bachelorette and suddenly I’m inundated with the meanest things anyone has ever said about me and a great reminder of why I wouldn’t be going back on the show.” read a subsequent tweet.
Connor then posted a long series of tweets on the subject, making it clear that he “loved” being a part of the franchise and that the experience had taught him a lot about himself.
“The experience of being there was amazing. the looking back? frightening. Having strangers dissect everything you do with a cruel lens is awful. And people are going to be like, ‘Oh don’t look at that stuff’ or ‘You knew what you signed up for’… didn’t you?” he added.
“So before you judge anyone or say mean shit about going on a TV show to find love, is that so much worse than dating today? In many ways I think it’s better than dm slides and dating apps. Regardless, there’s a way to enjoy the shows without being cruel. Try it,” Connor continued.
Reality Steve hasn’t retracted his spoiler despite Connor’s tweets.
Fans slammed Connor on Reality Steve’s Instagram post
Bachelor fans liked Connor on Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette, but it doesn’t sound like people want to see more of him on TV. In fact, the comments on Reality Steve’s Instagram post are far from positive.
“It’s not the mood” one person wrote.
“He won’t make it past the first night lol.” read another comment.
“Connor is doing Bachelor Live On Stage April 12-16, wonder how he’s going to do both. I’m not a fan of Connor being back on the show.” someone else commented.
Similar comments played out in a Reddit thread over Reality Steve’s spoilers and Connor’s denial.
“Please don’t. He’s so cheesy. We don’t need another season of his songs either.” commented one Redditor.
“Oh please no. I can’t take another season of him and his damn music.” added another person.
