Former UFC two-category champion Conor McGregor recently gave an update on his fighting form, eight months after breaking his leg.
On July 10, 2021, “Notorious” fought Dustin Poirier for the third time in UFC 264 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both men entered the three-part battle with one victory over the other, and the fight was considered a battle to win the rivalry.
However, fans were largely unsatisfied when McGregor broke his leg in the back part of the opening bracket. The fighting paused and Poirier won the first round by TKO.
Eight months on and McGregor’s recovery has been successful, according to a recent Instagram post from the Irishman. Sharing a photo of himself wearing boxing gloves, McGregor wrote: “3rd day back in boxing no problem! Soon this injury will be a distant memory of my Martial Arts journey. No one has a road without bumps – but victory is in a positive attitude and determination, hard work I’m back and just getting better and better. ”

McGregor has repeatedly expressed that he fully looks forward to competing this year, and match fans could see him inside the Octagon as early as July or August.
