Consumer brands are pushing for clean energy tax credits

More than 40 companies, including consumer brands such as Airbnb lyft Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and IKEA are asking Congress to pass federal energy legislation to provide additional financial incentives for clean energy projects like wind turbines and solar panels.

In a letter to lawmakers Tuesday, the companies said federal spending on such projects would help reduce energy costs for U.S. businesses and their employees and customers.
