Cool front brings pleasant weekend; Storms will arrive in the middle of the week

Columbus, Georgia (WRBL)- Clouds are clearing this Saturday morning as a cool front begins to move through the Southeast. Temperatures started out this morning with mild temperatures in the 50s and 60s, but will warm to the mid 70s later this afternoon.

For the remainder of the weekend, lows will fall to the lower to mid 40s Sunday morning and skies will remain clear through the end of the weekend. Clouds will move back into forecast range Monday morning ahead of our next storm system.

Showers and storms are likely to begin early Tuesday and continue into Wednesday morning. These storms have the potential to produce strong to severe storms across our west as they approach the News 3 viewing area. There is some uncertainty when it comes to our own risk of severe weather. Towards the end of the week, skies will clear and temperatures will cool to the low 60s.
