Rapper Coolio died on Wednesday at the age of 59.

The musician – famous for his “Gangsta’s Paradise” song on the soundtrack of the Michelle Pfeiffer film Dangerous Minds – was visiting a friend on Wednesday afternoon when he was found dead, according to TMZ.

The star’s manager, Jarez, shared that Coolio was found unresponsive on a bathroom floor and paramedics suspected he had gone into cardiac arrest.

The publication reported that paramedics pronounced Coolio dead on the spot. An official cause of death was not determined.

Coolio’s last public sighting appears to be on April 3 at Sydney Airport, where he graciously stopped to take photos with fans before his concert at Luna Park.

The rapper has toured smaller venues across the United States in recent years, performing a string of hits from his back catalogue.

The hip-hop artist — born Artis Leon Ivey Jr. — enjoyed a meteoric rise in the mid-’90s.

The outlandish singer released Gangster’s Paradise in 1995 and the song topped the charts in the US, UK, France, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

The single itself has sold over six million copies worldwide and is taken from his four-time platinum, Grammy-nominated, 17-track album of the same name.

Unfortunately, Coolio failed to replicate that level of success and garnered little recognition with the following song “I’ll CU When U Get There”.

He later became a chef and even published a cookbook called Cookin’ with Coolio.

He also appeared in an episode of Celebrity Wife Swap in 2013.

Hit Song: Coolio is perhaps best known for his hit song “Gangsta’s Paradise” on the soundtrack of the Michelle Pfeiffer film “Dangerous Minds”; Still from Dangerous Minds
