Shocking video clips show the fatal incident as the two fought over the officer’s firearm
The other three had left the scene just before the fatal shooting, and when the officer went to speak to Smith, he grabbed her as the two began to fight back.
Smith could be seen trying to grab the officer’s gun before three shots were fired.
Although the audio and video on the clip are not properly synced, the off-duty officer, who has not yet been publicly named, could clearly be heard yelling at him.
“I’ll kill you” after Smith reached for her gun. “Didn’t I just say I would kill you?” she said after firing the three shots.
The police report states that even without a weapon, Smith posed an “imminent battery threat.”
Immediately after the shooting, the officer can be heard begging anyone nearby to call the police and that she “told[Smith]she was going to shoot him in the ass” while accusing him of trying to to rob her.

The officer, who only joined the police force last June, was treated for a laceration above her right eye at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, according to the arrest report.
The officer did not provide any assistance to the shot victim while they waited for the ambulance
She can then be heard repeatedly claiming that Smith tried to steal her gun while continuing to yell for someone to call the police.
An ambulance showed up a few minutes later, but the officer made no attempt to help Smith while they waited for paramedics to arrive.
Smith was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, but his health continued to deteriorate despite hospitalization.
According to authorities, he died two days later.
The officer concerned was assigned routine administrative duties for 30 days, the Chicago Police Department said last month.
Meanwhile, Smith’s estate filed a lawsuit against the city and the officer on Feb. 3, seeking a $10 million judgment, ABC News 7 reports.
