Coutts Crossing Ute crash kills man and two children after vehicle crashes into tree

A man and two small children have died in a horrific accident on a remote country road at night.

The 43-year-old man was driving a ute along the Kangaroo Creek Road in Coutts Crossing on the north NSW coast at 9.30pm on Saturday when the tragic incident took place.

NSW Police said the vehicle went off the road and crashed into a tree.

The man, a 14-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl were found dead in the car.

Emergency services were called to the remote country road immediately after the accident, and criminal investigation departments have set up a crime scene.

Detectives are investigating the crash and will prepare a report for the coroner.
