The Dallas Cowboys are again appointing Will Grier as the team’s backup quarterback against the New York Giants in Week 3. Joining him on the active roster is nine-time Pro Bowler Jason Peters, who is expected to stand guard at Monday’s night football matchup, according to Jordan Schultz from The Score. Not only is Peters active in Week 3, but the veteran offensive lineman will no longer be on the team’s practice squad as Dallas added his former rival to the active roster.

Everyone will be in uniform at Giants tonight. McKeon will be employed on special teams.

Instead, the Cowboys will pause Gallup for another week as he returns to full strength after suffering a season-ending ACL injury. NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported that Gallup suffered no setback in his recovery.

“I followed that up. No setbacks from a physical standpoint, according to a source.” Slater tweeted on September 26th. “They just think he needs another week. Interesting.”
