Crowd of 100 Riots teenagers in family restaurant

A Philadelphia business owner is remembering one of Christ’s most important teachings after his small business was ransacked last week by a mob.

Zion’s Cuisine in Germantown was targeted by a crowd of 100 teenagers on August 6.

One rioter in the crowd threw a chair over the restaurant counter and another threw a bicycle into the store, video of the attack (shown below) shows.

According to Philadelphia’s KYW radio station.

A nearby Autozone employee described a flash mob of more than 100 teenagers entering the parking lot of the Germantown business. (Other reports give the number of rioters from 2o to “dozens”; the exact number involved is unknown.)

“There are hundreds of kids filling this place,” said a man who KYW has only identified as Chris, one of the owners of the establishment. “Jump over tables and chairs and jump over counters.”

Another owner, who asked the WCAU not to identify her, said the raid was expensive.

“They broke the glass, they broke my chair, they broke my fridge. It might be a small thing, but it costs a lot of money,” she told the station.

Are store owners responding appropriately?

The businessman’s children, 4 and 10, are now scared to go back to the business.

However, Chris said they have forgiven the rebellious youth.

“I am a Christian and the Bible says forgive them. So I forgave them,” he said.

A store employee also said that the violent attack caused them to pray for divine intervention.

“Say I hope they don’t hurt us. I prayed to God. I was like, what’s going on? We were surprised,” the employee told KYW-TV.

“We don’t do nothing and we’re just here in the neighborhood serving food to the neighborhood.”

Philadelphia police said they were aware of the flash mob attack and were seeking advice from the public to identify individual rioters.

The city that has proven to be vulnerable to the national crime wave is being hit hardest in major US cities.

The city broke a 30-year record for homicides last year, breaking the sad milestone of less than 11 months in 2021.
