Cruz Beckham has worked with Sam Ryder’s producer.
The 17-year-old aspiring singer – the youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham – was “blown away” by the Space Man singer’s performance at the Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year, so he reached out to pop guru Max Wolfgang about the possibility to request a performance work together.
And when Max – who has also written for Kylie Minogue, Little Mix and Rudimental – heard what the teenager had to offer, he was “very excited” to be working with him.
Poptastic: Cruz Beckham, 17, has been working with Sam Ryder’s music producer Max Wolfgang after the teenager was ‘blown away’ by Sam’s Eurovision performance earlier this year
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper’s ‘Bizarre’ column: “Cruz was blown away by Sam’s performance in the Eurovision Song Contest and felt that Max’s writing would fit the mood he was aiming for and asked whether he could arrange a session.
“Max heard some of the demos that Cruz was working on and was very excited to be a part. He was surprised by his musical talent.”
The news comes a few months after Cruz signed on with Tap Music, a management company that also counts Ellie Goulding, Dua Lipa and Leigh-Anne Pinnock among its clients.

A source previously said: “The fact that such an established and successful management company has acquired Cruz proves that there is confidence that he is the right one.
“Everyone has been really impressed with what they’ve heard so far and he’s working hard to develop his songs further.
“Everything is falling into place with his career, but he’s in no hurry to release music just yet.
Multi-talented: Self-taught on guitar, piano and drums, Cruz recently signed to music management company Tap Music
“He’s working with Tap to make sure there’s a plan in place that will give him the best possible start as a solo singer. His parents’ fame raises great expectations and he still has a lot to prove. But the most important thing is that everyone insists that their voice is better than their mother’s.”
In February, Cruz – who was courting chart stardom in 2016 when he was just 11 years old with the celebratory single “If Every Day Was Christmas” – revealed he had been working with producer Poo Bear, who previously created a series of tracks for Justin Bieber had written.
Cruz said, “We’ve only been in the studio a couple of times and done a couple of songs together.”
The youngster has written about “personal experiences, real experiences”.
In addition to singing, Cruz has taught himself guitar, piano and drums and is open to learning more to fuel his aspirations.
He added: “I even learned to play the mandolin for a song I wrote.
“I don’t think you’ll ever stop learning, but I’ll take my time to see what happens.”
