While recording the Everything Iconic podcast, Minkoff revealed that she had told one of her former friends not to join the RHOBH cast. She stated she didn’t think the show was suitable for the unnamed woman as she had no support.
“I had someone I knew who wanted to do it, and they — I’m not going to go into too much detail about their lives, but you know, your family has to support you, right? I mean, it’s not just an individual decision, it’s your kids, it’s your family, and she didn’t have the support, and she wanted to know what to do, and I said, ‘If you don’t have support, your family ‘It’s not good to do that’ and that was five years ago, a long time ago. But she wasn’t asked yet, she was like interviews,” explained the 39-year-old.
She went on to say that she would give the same advice to others if they were in a similar situation.
“That was my advice and I would still give it to every single one of my friends, if their husband, their children, their mothers say ‘don’t do it,’ then I would say that you should consider not doing it ‘ the RHOBH personality claimed.
Minkoff then shared that her former friend was unhappy joining the RHOBH cast for Season 11.
“Then when I got the call, I mentioned it to her and she said, ‘Well, why is it okay?’ and I said, “Well, I have support, so I hope you understand that,” and she didn’t, so that’s what happens,” the reality TV star said.
Minkoff then shared that she discussed the situation with Lisa Rinna after filming RHOBH Season 11.
“She said, ‘How are you?’ And I said, ‘Well, you know that happened.’ And she said, ‘Oh my god get ready, it’s going to continue, people are getting triggered by whatever, not just this show but other businesses and stuff you do,’ and then they brought it up to them Camera,” said the mother of two.
Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave spoke about Crystal Kung Minkoff’s former friends group
during one October 2022 episode of the Two Ts In A Pod podcast, Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge co-host former RHOBH personality Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave noted that she “referred Crystal to be there [RHOBH]“. She clarified that she wasn’t part of her former friends group.
“They’re not my 14 friends, I don’t know them, they’re not my friends, they’re way too rich and fancy for me,” Arroyave said.
The former RHOBH star also claimed Minkoff’s former friends were unhappy with her after noticing she spoke negatively about her.
“Crystal not only had an issue where all these really rich women were comparing notes and having issues with her talking about them behind her back, she also told one of these rich women that she would never do housewives, she told her she wasn’t supposed to do housewives, and then housewives and that was the ultimate problem with the 14 friends,” said the All-In founder.
