Crystal Minkoff opens up about Sutton Stracke’s friendship

During a recent red carpet appearance, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Crystal Kung Minkoff opened up about her co-star Sutton Stracke and gave an update on how their friendship is today, as the two haven’t always gotten along in the past are.

When speaking to Us weekly At the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 30th Academy Awards party on March 27, Minkoff said of her co-star, “I’m friends with everyone. I talk to Sutton a lot. We talk a lot.”

Minkoff continued of Stracke, “She grows on some, but she grew on me.”

During the final season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Minkoff and Stracke didn’t exactly start on the right foot when they got into a fight in one of the first episodes. During a cast trip to Lake Tahoe, Stracke interrupted Minkoff when they were discussing racial stereotypes.

“Want to talk about it if I see dumb rednecks on TV and that’s supposed to be me?” Stracke told her co-star in the third episode of the season. “I have a stereotype too, but I don’t want to address that!” Things later escalated when Minkoff accused Stracke of “raping” her after Stracke accidentally entered Minkoff’s room while she was naked.

Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is scheduled to air on Bravo later this spring.

Stracke apologized to Minkoff via Instagram at the time

After the episode aired, in which Stracke and Minkoff addressed this after their conversation about racial stereotypes, Stracke apologized to Minkoff via Instagram on May 27, 2021.

“Despite Crystal and my strained relationship at the time, it was disrespectful to interrupt her and not listen to her express her truth,” Stracke wrote. “My life has been blessed by the diversity of my relationships and I strive to become a better listener in understanding the painful realities that people of color experience. I’m sorry. I will do better and be better.”

In response, Minkoff released her own statement on Instagram, they were:

“Thank you Suton. Your apology means a lot to me, and I’m sure it means a lot to many others with similar life experiences. Asian Americans are often expected to disagree, but despite this stereotype, I believe everyone deserves to be heard. I’ve consciously rewired myself to be open and share my feelings whenever possible, and I encourage my children to do the same. Now that my platform has grown, I feel compelled to speak up for others who don’t yet feel confident using their own voice…”

Kyle Richards called upcoming RHOBH season 12 ‘crazy’

When speaking to entertainment tonight At the 30th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on March 27, star Kyle Richards teased the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, calling it “very intense” and “insane.”

“It’s really been a very intense season,” Richards told the outlet. “A lot of really intense things happen with a lot of performers. With Dorit and the home invasion. What Erika went through and other personal things. So it’s been a crazy season. When we’re really bad, it’s good for the crowd.”

But despite the drama, Richards added, “I think what I love about our franchise, Beverly Hills, is that we all really love and care about each other. I know because I did it The ultimate girl trip for Peacock, and I’ve learned from the other franchises that they really aren’t like that.”
