Cynthia Nixon Outshines Kim Cattrall in VERY Rare Statement on SATC Feud!

Kim Cattrall has said a lot about her feud with Sarah Jessica Parker. And SJP recently took her side as well. But we’ve heard very little from her co-stars…
Well, with the momentous news that Samantha Jones is returning for a cameo And just like that… In Season 2 it seems like a good time to find out what the other ladies are thinking! Kristin Davis told The Telegraph last week, in her super cute, positive way:
“You have to respect people’s wishes. I will not waste energy on it. I can’t change anyone. I understand the fans’ feelings – that they’re upset… I wish I could fix it, but I can’t, it’s not in my power.”
But that’s Charlotte’s approach. What would Miranda say? So, Cynthia Nixon finally broke her own long silence on the nasty affair in a profile Vanity Fair on Thursday. Specifically, the interviewer asked what she thought of the much-anticipated return of Samantha, and Cynthia replied:
“I read it in the script but I didn’t see any of the episodes”
And obviously she wasn’t there to see the live footage. After the sensational news of her return, we quickly learned that Kim had made a commitment that she didn’t need to film with any of her former co-stars, nor meet with the showrunner Michael Patrick King.

Because she didn’t have much to add to the cameo, the magazine instead asked if it was generally “weird” to return to the classic dynamic they’d shared across six seasons and two films — after one of their castmates just passed away ! The former New York gubernatorial candidate initially responded in a very distracting political manner, saying:
“We don’t really talk about that, but I’ll try to cover it very briefly. Yes, it felt very different. It felt very different, partly because we have these new amazing characters, we’re older, and our fictional kids are pretty much grown now. A lot of things felt different.”
However, she couldn’t help but get a bit dodgy with her answer, adding:
“But the most important thing that made me feel so great was that everyone was really there sought to be there. That’s just the bottom line. We all love each other, we love our show, we wanted to do more of it. And we all wanted to be there.”
As opposed to the person who didn’t. Cynthia did not name Kim, but then addressed the feud, saying:
“So that makes a tremendous difference, not walking on eggshells with someone who is unhappy for reasons that are difficult to understand.”
Wow. She says she doesn’t even know what Kim is upset about? After all the interviews the actress has given? Has she never tried to approach them and understand them?
Honestly, it kind of sounds to us like she doesn’t think Kim has a real problem. I’m just saying: That’s how it sounds to us. However, Cynthia is the wrong TV advocate, not us. She concluded:
“That’s all I’m going to say, I’m afraid. And that’s a lot more than I’ve ever said to anyone.”
TRUE. And for that we are grateful. But boy, do we wish we could see these four being forced to let off steam in a room? Sex And The City Reunion special, hosted by Andy Cohen or so.
