Impressed, Chris said: “A star was born on the ice tonight. Our very own diva on the ice, but you are by far our best skater.”

He then quoted Cher as saying, “We all invent ourselves, but some just have more imagination.”

The drag queen looked sensational in a black mesh catsuit with shimmering detailing on the front, while Colin wore a matching top and leather pants.

John Fashanu and his pro partner Alexandra Schauman were next, scoring 19/40.

Speaking of the former footballer’s routine, Chris said: “I think you’re the most improved skater since boot camp. You were a drag in boot camp but you made it, you were stable out there.’

Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher looked confident as she took to the ice with Sylvain Longchambon.

After their impressive first performance, Mollie and Sylvain were delighted as they scored 26.5 points out of 40.

Mollie explained that she was feeling nervous tonight, but Chris quipped: “If you had nerves tonight it didn’t show.”

Darren Harriot and Tippy Packard were hooked and scored a whopping 26.5 out of 40 points.

Carley Stenson looked dapper in a silver suit as she skated with partner Mark Hanretty.

The touching performance earned them a whopping 32 out of 40 points, the highest score in the series to date.

The judges all agreed, giving the pair an 8 across the board and calling the performance “beautiful”.

Ashley then jokingly said, “When I put in 8 I thought I’ll be the best, I can’t wait to give you all the credit!”

Despite the glitz and glamor, it was a rough start to the series for Love Island fan favorite Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, who landed in the last two by earning the fewest public votes.

The Love Island star recreated a memorable scene from the ITV2 reality show which saw her crawling on the floor, sparking over 100 Ofcom complaints from viewers who thought the routine was too racy for the family-friendly series.

Ahead of the skate-off, she said: “I’m not going to lie, I was really upset about what I did wrong, but I’m strong, I have to work hard and prove myself. ‘
