Star Marking Alicia Witt talk publicly for the first time about the death of her parents, and many of the Hallmark stars gathered around to share their thoughts and condolences. Danica McKellar and Nikki DeLoach were among those who commented immediately.
McKellar Says Witt’s Parents ‘Living In You’
When Witt shares her feelings About her parents, she wrote in part: “they were brilliant educators, deeply compassionate, inquisitive, intuitive, wise, young, humorous – there would never be enough adjectives to describe them. describe them.”
McKellar wrote to Witt: “All those adjectives don’t exist to describe them… they live on in you forever, I hope you know that. ❤️ Alicia, so many of us are thinking of you every day, sending hugs and comfort to your beautiful heart. ❤🙏❤”
When Witt talked about her parents’ deathshe revealed that her parents hadn’t let her stay in their home for over a decade and repeatedly turned down her many offers of help, including the times she tried to convince them to move out.
She wrote, in part: “Every time I offer to fix something for them, they refuse to allow workers into their home. I begged, cried, tried to reason with them, tried to convince them to let me help them move – but every time, they became angry at me.”
She says she can only help them in ways they allow, and that even though they have a lot of money, they are also “stubborn, beautiful at heart” people.
Witt shared that she is still struggling as to whether there is another way she can help.
Authorities told Boston 25 News hypothermia may have been the cause of Witt’s parents’ death, but the official cause of death has not been released.
DeLoach says she is praying for Witt every day
Nikki DeLoach, “Everyday is praying for you. May God and the angels wrap you in their love. I’m so sorry this happened. I’m so sorry they’re gone. Sending you lots of love. ❤️”
DeLoach is no stranger to grief. On August 1, 2021, she revealed on social media that her father had passed away.
DeLoach shared with fans and friends that her heart was broken after her father passed away, but she was able to be with him in his final moments.
She wrote, in part: “Daddy, you are my first love. My first words are the first words you say to me every morning when you lift me out of the crib. “Hey there” you will say with the biggest smile, full of joy. You gave the best hugs. Oh, what I won’t give is just one more hug… My heart is broken. The wound was so deep and so large that it burned. And at the same time, I’m glad you’re not suffering anymore. You are no longer a prisoner of that disease.”
In 2018, DeLoach spoke to the Alzheimer’s Association about her father having Pick’s disease, a form of frontotemporal dementia. Her father was diagnosed the same year that her son needed open heart surgery.
