Daniel Kretinsky is trying to bring Sparta Prague prodigy Adam Hlozek to West Ham United – but a summer deal may still not materialise.

Czech billionaire Kretinsky bought a 27% stake in West Ham earlier this season and is Sparta Prague’s president.

It certainly gives West Ham a real chance to sign Sparta talent and nobody is more appealing than striker Hlozek.

It is understood that Kretinsky personally suggested Hlozek a loan deal for West Ham – an opportunity not given to any other team.

At least according to 90 minutesas they claim Kretinsky wants to bring Hlozek to West Ham this summer.

The deal isn’t a foregone conclusion, however, as David Moyes and recruiting chief Rob Newman want to wait.

The West Ham duo don’t want to sign any new signings until the end of the season, meaning Kretinsky’s offer has yet to be accepted.

This comes after The Athletic claimed Moyes was unconvinced by Hlozek and vetoed it over concerns he would not oust Mikhail Antonio.

That means other clubs may have a chance to step in for Hlozek, with Juventus, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund all keen.

West Ham holding Hlozek only to see him move elsewhere would certainly sting for supporters.

Hailed as ‘extraordinary’ by agent Jaroslav Silhavy, 19-year-old Hlozek has featured 11 goals and 15 assists in all competitions this season.

Hlozek can play up front, behind a striker or even on the outside and is a versatile striker with huge potential.

Antonio certainly needs help and it’s not often that you see a child prodigy sitting right on West Ham’s lap ahead of the transfer window.

Kretinsky is clearly keen to see Hlozek join West Ham alongside Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek, but it’s now in the hands of Moyes, who didn’t seem entirely convinced.
