Data Wipe DMZ Mission Guide

Faction missions in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ can be frustrating at times, but mostly they’re fun. After grinding the Crown Faction for a long time, you finally reach the conclusive Tier 5 story mission called Data Wipe. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to complete this complex mission in DMZ.

• Take the experiment hard drive to building 21.
• Decrypt the hard drive on a computer in building 21.
• Upload the decrypted hard drive to the Zaya Observatory radio tower.

How to get the experiment disk

You might remember completing those Boating and entering Mission for Tier 4 Crown Faction, the story mission for the previous tier. For the final step in this mission, you’ll extract an Experiment Hard Drive that you acquired after going through a lengthy switch-flip process. This is the same disk you need for the current mission.

Before attempting the Data Wipe mission, go to your mission item stash in your gear and see if you have the Experiment Hard Drive in it. It will be there if you had stowed it away before. If not, you have to go through the whole process of boat and boarding mission. So make sure you don’t die between the tasks for this mission, otherwise you will have to go back to the hard drive and repeat all the steps.

Where to decrypt the hard drive in building 21?

Deploy into building 21 with the experiment disk and go to data center on the first floor. This is the hard part as you will face multiple armored bots and even enemy operators so proceed carefully. To get to the data center, turn right from staircase B1 into the basement. Go down the path until you find a large wooden container. From there, enter the room on the right with bright red lights i.e. the data center.

In the southeast corner In the data center you will find a large computer terminal that emits a loud beeping noise. Approach the device and press the interact button when you get the use terminal prompt. Defend the area while the upload is complete, after that you can retrieve the Decrypted experiment disk from the calculator. Extract the disk via an elevator exfil, which should arrive at the 7 minute mark.

Where to upload the decrypted disk

Finally, take the hard drive of the decrypted experiment in Al Mazrah and upload it from the Zaya Observatory radio tower (see images above). You may have visited this location before for the Nowhere To Hide mission for Tier 3 White Lotus. Climb to the top of the tower and upload the hard drive. Wait for the upload to complete and you should have completed the data wipe mission. As a completion reward for this mission, you will receive the dead end Blueprint for the Kastov 762 AR.
