Former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason may be making a return to television.
“She has a new dynamic series in development and is keeping the concept under wraps for now,” the Evans rep said said people.
Evans doesn’t want to reveal many details about her new show just yet, but it will involve her family.
“It’s about her family, but there will be other characters as well,” Evans’ rep told People. “Every single person in their family and extended family will be a part of it. But it’s not going to be like a Teen Mom show.”
The rep specifically mentioned Eason and said he was on his best behavior.
“There is no toxicity,” the rep told People. “David is a good boy. He doesn’t do or say anything he shouldn’t do. He is a good husband, a good father.”
Talks about Evans starting her own show after making a cameo on MTV’s new show called Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Although she will appear in the series, she is not a permanent character on the series.
Eason was fired from MTV in 2018 after making homophobic and racist comments online. Evans was fired the following year after Eason shot and killed her dog, a French bulldog named Nugget.
In April 2019, the children underwent a health check and Child Protection Services removed Maryssa, daughter of Ensley, Kaiser and Eason, from their home for three months.
The incident prompted Evans to split from Eason and bring their two children – Kaiser and Ensley – to Tennessee in November 2019. They reconciled by March 2020.
Evans could return to MTV
She may not have signed with MTV this time, but the opportunity to reprise her role is still there.
“There may or may not be further discussion on this,” Evans’ rep told People. “Right now, we’re definitely not doing the show. They must come to us with a much better offer.”
The North Carolina resident wanted to clarify that it was her decision to reject MTV’s proposal.
“I ALONE have decided to reject the terms within the agreement in order to pursue and promote other career opportunities based on the terms,” Evans said in a statement to People. “It wouldn’t have suited my current possibilities. No hard feelings. I appreciate MTV and the producers for including me, nothing but great vibes for the girls.”
Cheyenne Floyd isn’t thrilled with Evan’s return
While fans may be looking forward to seeing Evans back on their screens, “Teen Mom” star Cheyenne Floyd wasn’t thrilled with the prospect.
When asked if Evans would reprise her role, she kept her comments short.
Evans came back specially for Briana DeJesus as she threw a party to celebrate her victory over Kailyn Lowry in her defamation lawsuit.
“I think … it’s been great for Bri,” Floyd said Too fabulous with a laugh. “And that’s all I’m going to say.”
DeJesus confirmed that only Evans — not Eason — was at their party.
“It’s cool. You’ll see a good side of Jenelle. She’ll be alone,” she told Too Fab. “It’s a good vibe, very positive.”
“She really just came back for my story,” DeJesus added. “She wasn’t there for the other girls [stories]. But it was good to have her back. I think you guys will be able to see Jenelle’s growth a bit.”
Teen Mom: The Next Chapter — an “oversized” version of Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 — is scheduled to air Tuesday, September 6 at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
