Speaking of which, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell have gotten involved in the David Walliams scandal after offensive remarks about Britain’s Got Talent contestants were leaked (pictured in 2019).
Speaking about the future of Britain’s Got Talent, Amanda told Good Morning Britain on Monday: “I’d love to see the jury look like it was before. I think we are a great team, we are family.”
When asked directly if she was “Team David,” she replied, “Of course I’m Team David.”
Simon, 63, wasn’t so forthcoming when asked about his fellow judge in an interview with The Daily Star on Monday.
When asked about David’s behavior, Simon replied, “Can’t we go there? If you are okay with that.”
When asked if David would appear on the 2023 BGT panel, he cryptically replied: “Ask me in a few weeks.”

He also insisted that the judges were not key to the show’s success, musing: “I think for me the most important thing – and I had this conversation the other day. It’s always about the talent.
“If you don’t have great talent, you don’t have a show,” he said. “That’s all I care about.”
Remaining Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has yet to comment on the news.
Days after Simon and Amanda’s comments, David reportedly left Britain’s Got Talent after 10 years on the jury.
On his side: Despite the backlash, Amanda, 51, publicly supported her co-star this week as she proudly declared herself “Team David”.
The show bosses are believed to be already hiring a replacement before filming begins next year.
A source told The Sun: “He hasn’t taken the decision lightly but it just feels like it’s time to move on.”
“David has decided to retire after a ten year career. He wants to leave after a wonderful time with a feeling of exhilaration.
“His team have been having quiet talks over the last few days which have revealed that David is preparing to step down – and then the producers will start considering who could replace him.”

David’s co-stars Simon, Amanda and Alesha are in negotiations for their 2023 deals. None of them have signed a contract yet.
A BGT source told MailOnline: “At the moment it’s very unclear if David will be attending next year’s show. However, no decision has been made yet.’
A Britain’s Got Talent spokesman said: “The judging panel for Britain’s Got Talent 2023 will be announced in due course.”
Oti Mabuse is reportedly being considered as David’s replacement, with reality program bosses debating how the former professional dancer on BBC show Strictly would be perfect for the role.
She is currently at the center of a tug-of-war between ITV and the BBC, who both want her to star in their shows due to her overwhelming popularity.
David’s future at BGT was in doubt after he called an older contestant an ac*** and made vile sexual comments about a woman who was also on the show.
The comments, made during the London Palladium auditions in January 2020, were captured by the programme’s microphones and released earlier this month.
In one incident, captured by the show’s microphones, an elderly cast member engaged in lighthearted banter with the judges, during which he teased David, a revelation by The Guardian claimed.
After the audition, the retiree left, after which David reportedly called him ‘C**t’ three times.

In another incident, after a contestant left the stage, David remarked, “She’s like that slightly boring girl you meet at the pub and you think you want to fuck her, but you don’t.” He later added, “I know she’s just like, ‘Oh damn it!’ I said she thinks you want to fuck her but you don’t.
“It’s the last thing on your mind but she’s like, ‘Yeah, I bet you do!
,No, I will not do that! I had a little ab***r, but it’s ok now, it’s shriveled up in my body now.
Sources close to BGT said David’s return was “very seriously threatened” and he was “under scrutiny,” with some senior officials saying he should be axed immediately.
A source said: “This could not have come at a worse time in relation to his return to BGT, discussions are ongoing so David’s comments have now become a big part of the conversation.
“He hasn’t signed a deal yet, which is a relief because there are options now. It’s a family show and that’s not just a negative thing that’s happening, it’s offensive to people.
“It put David in a very precarious position. There are some people involved with the show who don’t want him back, there is a risk that this incident will become part of the BGT narrative and nobody wants that. It’s a beautiful show that brings so much joy.
“Some say David’s return is now highly unlikely.”
Oh dear: David’s future at BGT was in doubt after he called an older contestant an ac*** and made vile sexual comments about a woman who was also on the show
In a statement to The Guardian, the Little Britain star said: “I would like to apologize to the people I made disrespectful comments about during the breaks in filming Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.
“These were private conversations and, like most conversations with friends, should never be shared. Still, I’m sorry.’
A spokesman for ITV said: “We do not condone the language set out in these allegations and have spoken to the producers of Britain’s Got Talent.
“Duty of care to all participants in our programs is always paramount and we have protocols and policies in place for all of our production partners.”
Pretty in pink: Despite the news that David had left the show, Amanda appeared to be in high spirits on Friday as she strutted out of Heart FM studios in a fuchsia pantsuit

Meanwhile, sources at London-based production company Thames said they had offered BGT judges improved training and education on their language and more respect for contestants.
A spokesman said: “Although it was a private conversation almost three years ago, the language used was inappropriate.
“Although it was private, those involved were addressed and reminded of their responsibilities and the show’s expectations of future professional conduct.”
