Deadpool 3 added some Emmy-nominated kings to its cast as antagonists

Deadpool 3 is taking shape.

Ever since Deadpool 3 was announced, fans have been waiting for just about any news they can possibly get their hands on about this highly anticipated film. So far, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have “explained” how Wolverine could be alive, but not much more has been released about the film to date.

According to Deadline, the first major casting announcement has just been made, as one of The Crown’s breakout stars, Emma Corrin, has just joined the Deadpool 3 cast, although all we know is that they’ll be playing a villain. The actress is best known for her role as Lady Diana Spencer in Season 4 of the series, earning her a Golden Globe for Best Actress, a Critics Choice Award and an Emmy nomination.

Corrin hasn’t stopped working since, with roles in My Cop, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, and Retreat. They will also have a role in Robbert Eggers’ Nosferatu, rounding out a cast that includes Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgård, Willem Defoe and Lily-Rose Depp.

Interestingly, Deadpool 3 will be the first movie in the MCU for the character, leading many to wonder how the stark, gory, fourth-wall-breaking humor of “single-mouth merch” works in the universe of Kevin Feige and Co will , create and make successful for more than 15 years. The film is directed by Shawn Levy (Free Guy) and stars Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Hugh Jackman (Logan), Emma Corrin (The Queen) and Leslie Uggams (New Amsterdam).

Deadpool 3 is currently slated to hit theaters on November 8th, 2024, so be sure to check back until its release for more on the film.
