A Florida man has been arrested and charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a pregnant woman he met through a dating app.
Deandre Pritchett, 30, who is from Pensacola, faces a charge of sexual assault in an alleged incident in March 2022, Escambia County Court records said. He was arrested Monday.
The attack happened after the defendant met his victim via Tagged – after about a week of mutual messaging, authorities claimed in an arrest report obtained by ABC affiliate WEAR.
Pritchett reportedly went by the name “Ghost” on the app and met with the woman after she said she had a room for her, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office reportedly wrote in the report.
Law&Crime contacted ECSO and submitted several requests for records to Escambia County authorities for additional documents and details about the case. Escambia County Court’s public website appears to no longer allow document requests for the case.

The arrest report available to the TV station claims the defendant and the victim were talking on a bed when Pritchett allegedly began to harass the woman. The woman, in turn, pushed Pritchett away and told him she did not want to engage in sexual activity, she told law enforcement.
The extent of the alleged assault is unclear.

After the incident, the woman contacted the local emergency services because she was 11 weeks pregnant, the arrest report said. The woman also said she was bleeding from a lower part of her body.
By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had already left the scene, according to WEAR. Law enforcement later obtained surveillance footage of the man in question and appear to have used his tagged profile photos to eventually identify and arrest him.
According to the public record in his case, a probable cause warrant was issued. The case was assigned to First Judicial Circuit Judge Charles P. Young. Pritchett was assigned a public defender this week. He made a video appearance on Tuesday, court records show.
The defendant is currently being held in the Escambia County Jail on $25,000 bail. His indictment is scheduled for March 31.
Sexual assault is a first-degree felony in the Sunshine State. Violations can be punished with up to 30 years in prison.
